“Mama, can we take this to Ukraine?”
Chambers asks me often wether or not certain toys are too big to take in our suitcases to Ukraine. He has some birthday money that he’s been saving to inevitably buy a Star Wars toy that I will eventually step on (so painful! 😉 ), but he always asks if it can go to Ukraine with us.
He’s got a little bit of the concept, but I have a feeling that two months from now the full force of this move + new life will hit him. We are overwhelmed with the responsibility of parenting Chambers, Lev + Mila but are so aware of the grace poured out on us to do so. And we pray that they know that HE is the reason we are doing this.
32 days. Lord willing, in 32 days we will be driving to the airport, loading all our things onto an airplane + heading to Odessa.
It really hit me this week. In my mind we still have a few months left. April seems far off. But nope, it’s coming SOON. (insert lots of emotions!)
We have not purchased plane tickets yet for a few reasons (though believe me, we spend a good amount of time browsing Google flights for the best deals 😉 ). We are still growing our ministry partner team! In order to get to Ukraine in the next month we need 20 people to step alongside us in this journey. We’d love to video chat or meet in person to share with you God’s vision for this ministry – shoot us an email! This adventure for the gospel cannot happen just with our family + we love being able to share in ministry with our people!
Several people have been asking how to specifically pray:
- that we would find an apartment or home to rent in Odessa very soon! we are having trouble doing that from the States
- for renters for our home to apply in the next week!
- to have sweet times with family + friends in the last month in the US
